This 39-hour course will enable students to become proficient in applying these forms of internet communication for everyday uses such as online shopping, reading the news, conducting research, efficiently transferring files to remote users at home and at work, video conferencing, and more. Moreover, students will be familiarized with various types of video, audio and graphic files used on the Internet and the applications associated with them.


Intermidiate internate applications..

This course is designed for students who want to continue their studies of internet ommunication beyond basic web browsing and email. In this course, students will learn how to configure and use instant messaging software for chatting on the internet. Students will also learn about some of the early forms of internet communication that are still used quite frequently on the internet: newsgroups, telnet, and FTP. Moreover, students will receive a basic introduction of encryption cryptography and how it is used on a day-to-day basis in internet communication.
Basic Desktop Publishing..

This course is designed to teach students how to produce basic print business materials for both businesses and personal use alike. This course starts with the basics, making it especially suited for those with limited experience in producing print material from a personal computer. Using their desktop computer, students will learn how to create professional-looking business material, including letterhead and envelope stationary, business cards, and marketing press releases. Other projects will also be discussed, including creating flyers, greeting cards, brochures, and more. This course provides a basic introduction to the various methods of print output and the various materials needed to produce first-quality, professional results.
